You are not wrong about these problems. We do need to recognize, however, that they are not solely San Francisco experiences. These are very much national problems that are the result of a government and society that do not place value in helping others.
By contrast, you can visit most countries in Europe where there are social programs, funded by higher taxes, to help people on a much higher level than we do in the USA. In this country, socialism is considered by many to be a dirty word, yet we reap the benefits of highways, libraries, Social Security, Medicare, and lots of infrastructure that helps everyone.
