I've got to say that I live in San Francisco, which is more than one-third Asian, about five times the national average. I have taught in local public schools for 34 years, which has offered me the opportunity to engage with people of a huge variety of cultures.
I'm also fortunate to have traveled in a couple of dozen countries on the vast Asian continent.
In conclusion, all I can say is that there is nothing like travel and interacting with a large number of different people to be able to bust any stereotypes that people hold.
