I have just arrived in Barcelona myself. I am much older than you, though, now 75 years old. It's my third visit here!

You are right about the lingoes! And it's fascinating to know, for many people who travel here, that there are parts of SPAIN where the main language is NOT Spanish! That is true here, where Catalan predominates, but you really can get by in Spanish.
