I think you are 100% spot-on to have all of these concerns. In fact, if a person is not concerned s/he's not thinking!

I try not to be alarmist when it comes to these scary aspects of living here. At the same time, at my age of 74, I can honestly say that I am glad I am not younger. I don't want to be around to witness how things are inevitably going to devolve - and you didn't even mention climate change!
