I live between one and two miles from Costco. My experience is very different from yours and from most people in the comments here.

Since I can easily walk there, I go at least once a week. And since I don't own a car, I can buy just a few items at a time to take home on public transportation so that I don't have to carry anything. It's a very different approach than loading up a car with purchases.

One of the things I appreciate about Costco are the organic fruit and vegetables sold at reasonably prices. I have a Whole Foods Market only threee blocks away, but Costco prices are so much better.

In California, Costco and grocery stores can sell wine, thos this is a great place to purchase wine!

Early pandemic, there was a long wait to get in. But nowadays, I find the store to be much less crowded than it used to be. I don't see any of the rudeness that you talk about here.
