Excellent list. I think it's helpful for all of us to make this type of inventory, as it shows us what is really important in our lives.

I'm with you on all of this, especially when it comes to climate. I do not want to live in a place where it snows. Ever.

Since I am retired and don't have to spend 40+ hours a week working, I have a requirement of being in a place with lots of museums. If there are museums, they serve as destinations for my practice of walking at least five miles a day. I need that kind of variety, both in the museums themselves and in the streets where I will walk on a regular basis.

If it weren't for the weather, I could see myself in cities like Paris, London, or Amsterdam. I'm a city guy, so I need the variety that cities offer. Besides, embedded into most cities is a much more worldly outlook on life, as opposed to the provincial perspectives of people who just don't get out much.
